On November 7th, 2025, Megawatt Family Foundation, in collaboration with Acorn Company, conducted a heartfelt community outreach at Acts of Hope Children’s Home, Kabiria. The initiative formed part of Megawatt Family Foundation’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and its mission to empower and uplift vulnerable members of society.
A Home Built on Faith, Love, and Purpose
Founded in 2012 by a visionary pastor driven by compassion and faith, Acts of Hope Children’s Home has grown from humble beginnings into a registered institution providing love, shelter, and education to 73 children, supported by 13 dedicated caregivers. The home’s first beneficiary, Festus, now serves as the administrator, leading efforts to mentor children and nurture their talents. With a resident nurse and partnerships with major hospitals like Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), the home ensures comprehensive physical, emotional, and spiritual care.
Partnerships That Transform Lives
The event’s success was made possible through collaboration between Megawatt Famiy Foundation , Acorn, and other community partners. Acorn’s generous contribution included essential supplies — food items, clothing, educational materials, sanitary products, and household items — alongside KSh 93,000 in rent support. Megawatt Energies coordinated logistics, contributing to transportation, recognition gifts, and team facilitation.
This partnership demonstrated the power of unity and shared purpose in driving sustainable impact. The leadership and caregivers of Acts of Hope also played a crucial role, opening their doors and hearts to make the engagement meaningful and memorable.
